Blood pressure..a conundrum?
I am 62 years old, and have rarely been ill since I was 14, and grew out of bronchitis. Mum died 5 years ago, and since then my brothers and Father have tried to make life hell, even though Dad died 2 years ago. I live 5000 miles away, yet they still can hurt me. My blood pressure has gone to 180/90, and often higher, and the Doctors have failed so far in bringing it down. Medication seems to be failing. I feel tired and listless.I am beginning to believe the problem is caused by my family cirstances, and wonder if the stress could elevate my BP to these high levels, and keep it there? I have cut down on salt and sugar, and cutting my smoking in half, and quitting on my birthday, 8th February. I quit this year for 5 months, and nothing changed. This is what is making me think it is stress related more than hypertension due to a physical problem.
