About friends??????

some one says that it is dangerous to make a friend through internet. if it is true,then please guide me. u can see the answer of ques posted by me as "CODE VIOLATION?????" in my profile. how can i find unharmed and true friend through internet ? I am a deaf boy and just a new member.
